Format a Samsung cell phone

Formatting a Samsung cell phone is a simple process, but before doing so, be sure to back up your important data, as it will erase everything on the device.

📌 Method 1: From the Settings (Recommended).

1. Open your phone’sSettings.
2. Go to General Administration > Reset.
3. Select Reset to Factory Defaults.
4. Click on Reset and confirm with your password or pattern if prompted.
5. The cell phone will reboot and will be as good as new.

📌 Method 2: With the physical buttons (If you cannot access the system).

1. Turn off the cell phone completely.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up + Power + Power + Bixby buttons (if your model has it) until the Samsung logo appears.
3. In the recovery menu, use the volume buttons to navigate to Wipe data/factory reset and confirm with the power button.
4. Select Yes and confirm.
5. When finished, select Reboot system now and wait for it to restart.
